The Scottish List

In my previous article I served up a rather hefty list of probability data and it was one that that covered the remaining four of Europe’s ‘Big Five’ leagues. However, in the pursuit of data driven betting excellence, the information does not stop there.

That’s because, I also have a bundle of red hot North of the border goal data to sift through and it is something that looks a little like this – 21 matches across Scotland’s top four professional leagues in a bid to assist your data driven football predictions.

There is plenty for you to pick the bones out of and as before the higher up the list, back Over 2.5 goals and the lower down the list back Under. While anything in the 45-55% range, I would steer clear off as it is too close to call.

TIME FOR SOME MCDATA

League Home Away Over 2.5 Over 2.5 Prediction
League Two Cove Rangers Queens Park 72.92% Over 2.5
League Two Edinburgh City Brechin 72.46% Over 2.5
League Two Annan Athletic Albion Rvs 69.70% Over 2.5
Premiership Celtic Kilmarnock 62.96% Over 2.5
Premiership Hamilton Motherwell 62.25% Over 2.5
Premiership Aberdeen Ross County 61.11% Over 2.5
Premiership Hibernian Livingston 61.11% Over 2.5
League Two Elgin Cowdenbeath 60.43% Over 2.5
League One Falkirk Montrose 57.61% Over 2.5
Championship Morton Alloa 57.61% Over 2.5
League Two Stirling Stenhousemuir 56.83% Over 2.5
League One Dumbarton Forfar 54.17% Over 2.5
Premiership St Johnstone Rangers 53.85% Over 2.5
League One Raith Rvs Clyde 53.26% Over 2.5
League One Peterhead Airdrie Utd 53.17% Over 2.5
League One East Fife Stranraer 53.17% Over 2.5
Championship Partick Dunfermline 52.99% Over 2.5
Premiership St Mirren Hearts 47.08% Under 2.5
Championship Dundee United Inverness C 45.45% Under 2.5
Championship Arbroath Ayr 43.94% Under 2.5
Championship Queen of Sth Dundee 41.30% Under 2.5

It certainly looks like that there could be goals within Scotland’s League Two and a tasty treble could be the order of the day while Celtic playing host to Kilmarnock could be another game that ends up being rather fruitful – although you may have to take into account the league leader’s Europa League exploits on Thursday.

To be honest, with the way the percentages have fallen this week, I think an Under 2.5 goals bet, might end up being too much of a risk and with that mind, it seems like perfect sense to back the more entertaining scorelines.

Happy punting and thanks for reading. Dan
