In Both Halves
In Both Halves
In my previous article, I looked at when the goals were scored in the English Premier League and more importantly which half. While in doing so, it meant that we can add more insight into our approach to data driven betting.
At the bottom of that article, there were some action points and one of those was still build a model that looks at the outcome of “Both Teams To Score In Both Halves” or BTTSIBH for short, a model that has now been built.
Although this time around, I thought I would do something slightly different and instead of trying to explain by words, I thought I would create a quick video to explain how to take raw data and create a functional data model.
In doing this process it means I can show you how to build your own model and from there, you can have a better attempt at making some data driven football predictions over the course of the next few days.
So without further ado, here is a quick 4 minute video explaining how to take a raw data set and turn it into a BTTSIBH model (open in fullscreen to get a better viewing experience, otherwise the colour will be too blurry)
