It’s Snow Business
It’s Snow Business
If you read my previous article on trying to conquer the Austrian Bundesliga with a data driven betting approach, you will know that my good friend ‘AutBot’ served up another round of predictions in the hope of getting the better of the bookmakers.
Not only that, but you will also be aware that in my first attempt at trying to climb the Austrian predictive mountain, my predictive models returned five out of six correct picks and were it not for a Red Bull Salzburg slip up, a 55/1 six-fold would have been returned.
However, one lucky reader decided that adding Red Bull Salzburg, especially at such short odds was not worth the risk and that decision proved to be very fruitful, as he walked away with a 48/1 five-fold from the tips.
Therefore, with the clamour for more, last weekend saw me test my predictive skills once again and with that in mind, it’s now time to see how I fared in Austrian’s top-flight. But before we do so, let’s see what the picks actually were.
TIME TO ANALYSE
Now if the model stopped at the Red Bull Salzburg line, then it would have been a perfect two for two outcome and I would have been heralding further success. Although, I wish it did stop there, as from there on it was nothing short of a disaster.
That’s because, all of the remaining four matches were an abject failure and that meant that out of the half dozen predictive picks, I only returned two as correct. Which means there was a hint of beginners luck in the opening week.
Overall that means ‘AutBot’ has recorded seven out of twelve picks correct and after being at an 83.3% strike rate, the mood has been tempered with that percentage now looking at the less impressive 58.3%
At the same time, that doesn’t mean it is time to throw the baby out with the bathwater and working on a small league does seem like a good idea. Although, I might transfer my knowledge over to Scotland in the New Year, if only because I have a bit more knowledge on the competition.
If I get time, I may work on another week of predictions, but it m might not be this week as I am looking to unleash another idea onto the blog and if you return back to the website, you will find out exactly what it is.
Happy punting and thanks for reading. Dan
